*Mama-to-be-friendly* Pomegranate and Elderflower Fizz

There is nothing I enjoy more than a glass of red wine, sat on the sofa with some dark chocolate un-winding reading a book or watching a series with Sam BUT obviously I am 5 and a bit months pregnant and so alcohol is not on the cards. I have gone full on cold turkey because I just don’t think I’ll fully enjoy a drink knowing their is a little bubba in me completely dependent on what I put into my body. I wouldn’t judge anyone for having the odd drink as I am sure it is perfectly fine but thats just the way I feel. Plus, think how good that first drink will be once I have popped the baby out!

The good news is I have really got into a good mocktail when I go out and as a treat I will make one at home or invite the girls over and drink my mocktails with them as they sip on their drink of choice and I feel I am on the same level as them maybe even slightly more energetic.

So I invited my friend Mona over to make use of my cocktail station and try out some new cocktail recipes – mama friendly for me and a bit of cheeky spirits in mona’s for her. I wanted to share my favourite with you.

TOP TIP: For extra glam, get a pastry brush and a bowl of water with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Paint the outside rim of the glasses and add edible gold glitter to give a sparkle.

This is a really refreshing, satisfying delicious drink. So whether you are pregnant or not you may just fancy enjoying a delicious non-alcoholic drink.

Enjoy

Love Always
